Chess
Concentration in Glendalough - April 2005 |
The club
was established in 2004 as a result of so many children
having an interest and a talent for chess. Some children
practice two lunchtimes a week pitting their wits against
the stiff opposition from their pals. Our trip to Scoil
Chaoimhín Naofa in Glendalough on April 20th. was
part of the current chess league which we are involved.
We were very happy to come home with six victories out of
eight matches. Congratulations to Alan, Edward, Eoin, Edward,
Stewart, Hazel, David and James. Our next 'outing' in the
league will take place in St. Joseph's next week when Scoil
Chaoimhín pay us a visit and our beginners will be
pitted against their beginners.
Good
Luck to All !
