Report on the interview with Mr.O'Callaghan

My Report-On the interview with Mr.O Callaghan:By
Jack O Keeffe Donohue:

Some things that Mr.O Callaghan
said was:The first coloured T.V. came in 1986,the school website was set up in 2001,there was one nun from Avoca who came to the school sometimes, another thing was that the second pricipal was Dennis Garvy. He also said there were no real footballs, there were only paper ones, and if they got soggy they would spend the break-time making a new one.The first uniforms came 23 years-ago,they were wine-coloured.Our uniforms came 15 years-ago.The stone from the 2 chimneys, that were knocked down, were used to build the new St.Josephs sign.Ms.Dalton and Mr.Hynes are the longest in the school. The old school sign was made of wood.Ms.Duggan was a pupil in this school before.Mr.O Callaghan has been pricipal for 21 years.A man named Mr.Young owned the land previously. The school has 20 classroom`s and 11 other rooms. When the school first opened it had 2 teachers and 90 pupils. He also said the teachers would probably have been stricter back then rather than now.He said also that there are 576 pupils,34 teachers,6 S.N.A`s,1 caretaker and 1 cleaner.

The Arklow music Festival

The Arklow Music Festival

The Arklow Music Festival is a poem or song contest. You pick a song or poem to sing or say for prizes. You practice in school and then go to the Arklow Bay hotel. This year we did ''We're all in this together'' and last year we did
''I'll tell me ma''. This year we came 4th and last year we came 2nd.
You can come and watch your child perfrom but be there early because seats get filled quick!!
And that is all you need to know,
Thanks for listening.
